Prices for oilseeds may rise slightly in December

According to the forecast of the analytical center of the company Ruseed, in December the average price of producers for sunflower seeds may increase to 35-35.5 thousand rubles/ton (excluding VAT, EXW) from the current 34.64 thousand rubles/ton. In December of last year, the price was at the level of almost 38.3 thousand rubles/ton, in September of this year it was 39.1 thousand rubles/ton. The average sunflower yield is 15.5 centners/hectare—7% less than last year. Nevertheless, the significant expansion of sown areas ensures the absence of a deficit: by the end of November, 16.7 million tons of oilseeds were harvested. "In 2025, the growth in sunflower prices was due to a reduction in production due to unfavorable weather conditions and sustained demand from processors," analysts note.
