Farmers in southern Ukraine are facing harsh weather conditions, leading them to transfer most crops under the winter wedge. As an alternative, they are considering cultivating legumes like lentils, peas, chickpeas, and flax. Hryhoriy Tulba, the owner of FG 'Elit' from Odeshchyna, has reported a significant increase in pea prices due to India's duty cancellation, with some central Ukrainian enterprises selling it for up to 17,000 UAH/t. Wheat is expected to reach better prices, potentially hitting 11-11.5 thousand UAH/t with delivery to the port, due to unfavorable weather conditions in Western Europe.
