Farmers in Tan Phuoc district, Tien Giang province are experiencing a boom in profits due to a significant increase in the price of pineapples, jackfruits, and durians. The surge in prices, ranging from 10,500 - 11,000 VND/kg for pineapples, 35,000 - 40,000 VND/kg for jackfruits, and over 100,000 VND/kg for durians, is attributed to a high demand for these fruits for factory production and a decreased supply caused by prolonged drought and saltwater intrusion. Additionally, the price of raw dried coconut has seen a significant increase, offering farmers substantial profits. This situation has made farmers in the area optimistic about their income prospects.
