Vegetable prices in Egypt's transit market have remained stable, with prices ranging from 1.5 to 10 pounds per kilogram for various vegetables and 30 to 50 pounds for grape leaves and cabbage. Despite the ongoing coronavirus crisis, Egypt's vegetable and fruit exports are expected to increase by 5.5 million tons in 2020, reaching 2.77 million tons since the start of the export period. Citrus exports are leading, followed by potatoes and onions, with Egypt maintaining its position as a major exporter of oranges despite competition from Spain.
