Producers from the State of Mexico have started selling 'crystalline' prickly pears in San Juan del Río, Querétaro, and Bernal town roads from June to September. This variety, known for its lack of thorns, is sold in boxes with prices ranging from 50 to 150 pesos. The roadside sales have been successful, bringing in better profits compared to green grocers. The sales are scheduled to end by the end of this month.
