Farmers in Ba Ria-Vung Tau are focusing on taking care of green-skinned grapefruit to sell in time for the end of the year and the Lunar New Year of At Ty 2025. The weather is favorable for the development of grapefruit, so farmers expect a bumper crop. Some farmers are taking technical steps to make grapefruit flower out of season to ensure harvest on time for Tet. The area of green-skinned grapefruit in the province is mainly concentrated in Phu My Town, with over 400 hectares. More than 80% of the area has been converted to organic farming and VietGAP. The price of grapefruit being purchased by traders at the garden is about 22,000 VND/kg, nearly double the same period last year.
