Produce launched contest "Reto Paiche" to boost solutions in aquaculture feeding

Attention, entrepreneurs and SMEs! The Ministry of Production (Produce) has launched the "Reto Paiche" contest, an initiative that seeks to identify creative and efficient technological solutions to improve the feeding of paiche during its fry stage, considered one of the most critical phases in the development of this fish in aquaculture. The objective is to promote alternatives that guarantee a balanced diet adapted to the conditions of the Loreto region. The challenge proposed by the Technological Institute of Production (ITP) responds to a key question about the feeding of this Amazonian fish. Applications will be open until October 7, 2025, aiming to reach the largest number of participants. The winner will be eligible for co-financing from ProInnóvate of up to S/893,000, covering 80% of the total cost, with the remaining 20% to be covered by the applicant company with its own contributions, which can be monetary or non-monetary.
