The Ministry of Production in Peru is developing a highly nutritious product, based on honey and kion, to boost the immune system, according to Sergio Rodríguez, executive director of the Technological Institute of Production (ITP). The product is expected to be ready by the end of 2020 and will be produced by entrepreneurs in the agro-industrial sector. The Ministry is also providing support to agricultural and agro-industrial MSMEs in the Lima region, with a focus on improving efficiency and agro-exports. The Huaura Technical Unit has provided 1,126 technological and innovation services to date.
