The Turkey Chambers of Agriculture Union (TZOB) has raised concerns over the significant price increases for essential food items ahead of Ramadan, with the price difference between producers and the market reaching up to 8 times. The highest price increase was in cauliflower at 25.87%. TZOB has called on all segments to behave responsibly and not to speculate, as the coronavirus pandemic already impacts market stability. In the 8-day period leading up to Ramadan, there were no price changes in 15 products, decreases in 9, and increases in 8. The highest price difference between the producer and the market was 695.45% for potatoes and 532.14% for dried onions.
