Bulgaria: Producers of protein crops received over BGN 32 million

The State Fund for Agriculture paid BGN 32,597,628 million under the Scheme for tied support for protein crops (SPC) for Campaign 2020 to 16,081 producers who grow beans, lentils, chickpeas, peas, peanuts, soybeans, beans, alfalfa, sainfoin, vetch, clover, cowpea, burchak, lupine, star anise, and mixtures thereof. This was announced by the paying agency. Farmers who cultivate at least 0.5 hectares (together or separately) are entitled to support and their areas are eligible for support under the Single Area Payment Scheme. The rate under the scheme for Campaign 2020 has been increased by 20.7% and amounts to BGN 259.22 per hectare. It is determined by an order of the Minister of Agriculture.
