Tridge summary

Fish producers in the Philippines, particularly in Batangas and Pampanga, are facing a challenge of low demand for tilapia despite having an ample supply, even after recent typhoons. Local fish farmers are appealing to the public to support local fish over imports and are urging the Department of Agriculture to stop its plan to import 60,000 metric tons of fish and instead support local producers.
