Narsingdi district in Bangladesh is projected to produce approximately 65,500 tonnes of summer vegetables this season, a slight increase from the previous year, as more land has been dedicated to cultivation. The Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE) has encouraged farmers to adopt organic farming methods, leading to the cultivation of poison-free vegetables on over 1,500 hectares of land. The district, known for its vegetable surplus, supplies a significant portion of its production to the capital and other regions after meeting local demand.
