Soybean meal shipments are showing a strong demand from less traditional destinations such as Bangladesh and Denmark.

From January to October, Brazil exported 19.6 million tons of soybean meal, a record for the period. This is indicated by Secex data analyzed by the Center for Advanced Studies in Applied Economics (Cepea). According to the institute, demand is heated, especially from new countries and/or less traditional destinations, such as Spain, Denmark, Bangladesh, and Portugal. In Brazil, consumers are also more active in acquiring the derivative. As for soybeans in grain, for the partial period of this year, the country shipped 100.6 million tons, 6.7% above the volume shipped in the same period of 2024.
