The article highlights the conflicting challenges faced by Bulgarian farmers, including increased costs opposed to faster betting production rates and more sown agricultural areas as reported by the Ministry of Agriculture. Despite challenges, the country has seen an increase in the planting of vegetables, melons, and strawberries, and a significant growth in potato production. However, there has been a decrease in the production of greenhouse cucumbers and tomatoes, and a drop in imports and exports of certain vegetables. Prices for most fruits and vegetables have decreased, except for apples and potatoes, which have seen a weekly increase.
