The Akosman couple living in Zonguldak proved the saying "Zonguldak is the land of chestnut honey" on the international stage in their beekeeping journey, which they started 9 years ago with 40 hives. Zonguldak chestnut honey, which has a proline value above world standards as an indicator of purity and quality, was awarded the 'golden honey' prize in international competitions held in London and then Paris for two consecutive years. 33-year-old Muhammet Akosman, who lives in Kilimli district, combined his beekeeping profession inherited from his grandfather and family with academic education. Akosman, who graduated from Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University Department of Beekeeping, established his own business in 2016.
