Proginger, a Peruvian association promoting the development of ginger and turmeric, held a meeting with key stakeholders, including the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism, Promperú, Commercial Offices of Peru in the US, and Senasa, to strategize about entering the US market with Peruvian turmeric. The meeting highlighted the product's global market potential and provided updates on the current status of negotiations with APHIS for market access. The group also decided to include turmeric in future meetings with US market representatives and discussed the possibility of support from the National Cooperative Business Association CLUSA International and the PENS project. Proginger remains optimistic about the commercial potential of Peruvian turmeric on a global scale.
