Despite global challenges, Vietnam's agricultural sector, particularly fruit and vegetable exports, has seen significant growth, with an 89.2% increase in turnover in January 2024. Key exports include durian, coconut, banana, mango, and dragon fruit, with many orders already filled for the first quarter of 2024. The durian export value continues to rise, especially to China, which could provide a $20 billion market capacity by 2025. The overall fruit and vegetable industry in Vietnam is expected to grow by 15-20% in 2024, potentially reaching $6.5-7 billion.
