Although the number of farms within the infected area was initially 39 (within a 20 km radius), after the European Commission's regionalization, this number rose to 55, as it now includes the entire area of the affected municipalities and not just the farms within a 20 km radius. Despite being reported on November 30 that all 39 farms tested negative, the Ministry of Agriculture confirmed on December 10 that the remaining 16 also tested negative. In addition, new tests on the first affected farms continue to show negative results. Twelve days after the outbreak was declared, the 13 positive cases remain, all located within the affected area. This is good news for achieving the main objective: containing the virus within the initial perimeter.
