Puno: 200,000 carachi fry were planted in the community of Olla

The Regional Directorate of Production (Direpro) of Puno, together with the Higher Technological Institute of Juli, carried out the planting of 200,000 yellow carachi fry in the community of Olla, in the district of Juli, province of Chucuito. The activity was developed as part of an institutional agreement aimed at recovering the biomass of the carachi in Lake Titicaca. The director of Direpro reported that the Technological Institute of Juli has the goal of producing one million fry, with an advance of 70%, thanks to the work of students from the Fisheries and Aquaculture Development program. He specified that the Biomass Project implements the laboratory, provides materials, and executes the technological transfer stipulated in the agreement.
