Puno drives the recovery and sustainable use of the carachi of Lake Titicaca

The Regional Directorate of Production (Direpro) in Puno signed an inter-institutional cooperation agreement with the Binational Special Project Lake Titicaca (PEBLT), with the objective of strengthening the recovery and sustainable use of the native species of gray carachi and yellow carachi from Lake Titicaca. The agreement, signed at the fish farming facilities in Barco-Chucuito, will be in effect for two years and is part of the project "Recovery of the biomass of gray and yellow carachi," promoted by Direpro. This initiative is aimed at the conservation of hydrobiological resources and the strengthening of environmental sustainability in the Lake Titicaca basin.
