Qatar opens market for export of goat and sheep meat from Brazil

The Brazilian government welcomed the news of the opening of the Qatar market for the export of goat and sheep meat from Brazil, following the approval of the International Health Certificate. From January to September of this year, Brazil exported approximately US$ 200 million in agricultural products to Qatar. Approximately 90% of this amount corresponds to animal proteins, especially poultry and beef. The opening of the Qatari market to goat and sheep meat of Brazilian origin, which have been gaining a growing presence in the international market, should contribute to diversifying the bilateral trade agenda.
