Quality measure for Dutch cucumber is deactivated

The Interprofessional Organisation of Fruits and Vegetables of Andalusia, HORTYFRUTA, has announced the deactivation of the Extension of the Standard in terms of quality for the long Dutch-type cucumber, a measure that had prohibited the sale of second categories since last November 27. This decision comes into force as of today, allowing Andalusian producers and marketers to once again allocate the second categories of this type of cucumber for fresh consumption. This measure had been implemented in response to an unfavourable market situation, but the positive evolution of the last few days has allowed its suspension. According to HORTYFRUTA, the measure has been effective in stabilising the market and providing greater value to Andalusian fruit and vegetable products.
