A super-intensive quince garden in Azerbaijan, established in 2020 in the Saatli district's Garalar village, has seen significant success in its second year of operation, producing a high yield of quince and other fruits. The garden, which spans 30 hectares with 26 hectares dedicated to the Eshma variety of quince imported from Turkey, has already exported 200 tons of the product, with an order for an additional 250 tons. Owner Khabib Akhmedov attributes some of the garden's success to state subsidies and anticipates a substantial increase in yield for this year. In addition to quince, the garden also grows cherries, pears, and nectarines and sells its produce both domestically and internationally, finding homes in markets across Russia, Kazakhstan, the UAE, and Europe.
