The article provides an overview of the upcoming olive oil campaign in Spain, outlining the challenges and opportunities facing the industry. With a production forecast of 1,289,882 tons and a history-making highest import level, the campaign aims to recover domestic consumption, assuming oil prices permit. However, recent rainfall has delayed the olive harvest, potentially leading to a supply shortage and increased prices. The initiative also highlights the Inauguration of the 29th ASAJA-Sevilla Olive Grove Conference and the introduction of the Biolivar project, aimed at promoting sustainability in the olive sector by enhancing biodiversity and reducing soil erosion.
