Rapeseed, the third most important oilseed crop globally, is crucial for producing edible oil and biofuels. Lucrecia Gieco from INTA emphasizes its benefits for crop rotation and soil health. INTA's genetic improvement program has developed high-yield, disease-resistant rapeseed cultivars like Macacha INTA, Delfina INTA, Guyunusa INTA, and Floriana INTA, which are available in Argentina and Uruguay. The 1st National Symposium on Rapeseed and Other Brassicas will take place on September 12 in Paraná, Entre Ríos, to discuss advancements in these crops.
