As of November 27, 2025, the price of white dragon fruit purchased in bulk at the garden is at 20,000–22,000 VND/kg, while red dragon fruit reaches around 35,000 VND/kg. Compared to a week ago, the selling price has increased sharply, when white dragon fruit was only at 12,000–16,000 VND/kg. The cause, as explained by many traders and farmers, is the prolonged flooding in the former Bình Thuận province, which has caused dragon fruit plants to be affected by pests and diseases, especially fungi, leading to a decrease in yield. The limited supply combined with high market demand has driven prices up sharply in a short period. Mrs. Đoàn Thị Liễu, owner of Anh Như Ý dragon fruit garden, Hàm Thuận commune, Lâm Đồng, said that due to heavy rains, many dragon fruit gardens were submerged, pests and diseases developed, and yields decreased, so the supply to the market is currently very scarce.
