Raspberries in Ukraine Are Being Sold at "Cosmic" Prices: How Much a Kilogram of the Popular Berry Costs

Summer has arrived in Ukraine, prompting Ukrainians to pay attention to berries and fruits, which come with hefty price tags. While cherries and strawberries are gradually becoming cheaper, raspberries are shocking. In one Ukrainian retail network, this popular berry is sold for 149.90 UAH per 100 grams. Thus, a kilogram would cost 1,499 hryvnias. It is noted that the country of origin is Ukraine. At the same time, in this network, packaged raspberries weighing 125 grams can be purchased for 479 hryvnias, meaning a kilogram would cost over 3,800 hryvnias.
