The Association of Dairy Producers in Kafr El-Sheikh Governorate in Egypt has decided to reduce dairy prices by up to 30%, in response to a 40% stagnation in dairy products. The move aims to stimulate sales and revive the market. Cow's milk prices have been reduced to between 10 and 11 pounds per kilo from 12.5 pounds. The association is also planning to increase demand for dairy products after the Coptic fast. Some cheese factories are storing all their mozzarella cheese in anticipation of Eid al-Fitr.
