Reducing losses in fennel crops in training for Assiut farmers in Egypt

The Agricultural Crops Export Council, in cooperation and coordination with the German Agency for International Cooperation GIZ, represented by the Agricultural Innovation Project, organized a training program entitled “Ways to increase productivity and reduce losses in the fennel crop” for a number of crop producers in the Abnoub Center in Assiut Governorate. Dr. Sabri Al-Shami - Post-harvest Transactions Consultant in the Agricultural Innovation Project, and Dr. Muhammad Abbas Salem - Food Safety Systems Consultant in the Agricultural Innovation Project, reviewed a number of important points, most notably cultivation methods, optimal use of pesticides, and post-harvest treatments for the fennel crop.
