On June 27, a round table meeting was conducted to revise the 2022 reference prices for organic faba beans and organic feed soybeans, resulting in an increase of 5 francs and 8 francs respectively. These changes are part of a moderate price increase aimed at benefiting arable crop producers and addressing the increased demand for protein crops. The meeting also discussed the need for an additional 15,000 ha of organic open land over the next five to six years and the creation of a distribution key for organic arable farming for the 2023 harvest. This initiative aims to promote organic arable farming and is supported by Bio Suisse, who is working towards fair, market-compliant, and practical distribution practices for organic field crops.
