The Ministry of Commerce in Manisa, Turkey, has introduced a new export refund aid program for tomatoes, covering a vast area of 104,410 decares. This initiative aims to bolster both the export sector and tomato paste producers, allowing them to compete internationally and generate higher revenues. The subsidy, set to be in effect from August 15, 2024, to July 31, 2025, offers varied rates for different tomato products, including dried tomatoes, canned tomatoes, tomato paste, and tomato ketchup. To maximize the subsidy, exporters must ensure the supply price is 2.40 TL or above. This move is expected to significantly boost the income of tomato producers and exporters in Manisa, a region renowned for its agricultural output.
