The issue related to Belarus-brand agricultural tractors remains unresolved, as many farmers who own them may lose the ability to use them normally. The agricultural self-government is demanding an urgent legislative solution to the matter. The Podlasie Agricultural Chamber (PIR) appeals in a statement from August 11 to expedite legislative work on the draft amendment to the act changing the act on vehicle approval systems and their equipment and certain other acts. "The draft proposes a provision allowing the continued operation of Belarus-brand agricultural tractors on Polish territory by recognizing that the previous registration of these tractors in our country is, by law, equivalent to vehicle registration based on a national individual approval certificate. The proposed provision aims to mitigate the negative effects of the 'legislative mess' related to the registration procedure for the aforementioned tractors, which would be borne by their buyers," notes the PIR.
