Reports on major animal diseases in China in October 2024

In October 2024, a total of 23 major animal diseases of Category I, II and III were reported nationwide, with 100,152 sick animals and 11,318 dead animals. Among them, there was 1 major animal disease of Category I, with 2 sick animals and 0 dead animals. There were 15 major animal diseases of Category II, with 27,512 sick animals and 3,919 dead animals. The top three diseases are porcine epidemic diarrhea, brucellosis, and duck plague, accounting for 86.79% of the total number of reported cases of the second major animal diseases. There are 7 types of the third major animal diseases, with 72,638 sick animals, 7,399 dead animals, and the top three diseases reported are chicken coccidiosis, swine influenza, and pasteurellosis, accounting for 97.57% of the total number of reported cases of the three major animal diseases.
