Uzbekistan's crop production in the first half of 2021 reached 45,778.8 billion soums, accounting for 40.7% of the total agricultural production, according to the State Statistics Committee. Despite a slight decrease in fruit production by 8% compared to the same period in 2020, there was an increase in vegetable production by 4.4%, with 85.3% contributed by dekhkan (personal subsidiary) farms. The country also saw an increase in the production of potatoes, grapes, melons, and gourds in the first half of 2021 compared to the same period in 2020.
