Results of the first half of the year; Kazakhstan reduced the export of fruits and berries by 21%

In the first half of this year, sales of fruits and berries from Kazakhstan abroad fell by 21.5%, to 22.1 thousand tons, compared to the same period last year. Suppliers earned $6.9 million, EastFruit reports Apple exports have significantly decreased - by half (3.4 thousand tons). The list of buyer countries includes Russia, Belarus, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan. Shipments of cherries, strawberries and blueberries have also decreased - by 3.6 times, to 1.1 thousand tons, LS reports. Russia became the main importer of berries, as in the previous year, but the volume decreased by 3.7 times. A small batch was also sent to Uzbekistan. Melon sales immediately fell fivefold - 850.2 tons were sent to Russia and Belarus. For comparison, in the first half of last year, their export amounted to more than 4 thousand tons.
