From January to August 2022, Ukraine experienced a significant decrease in egg exports, with a total of 18,000 tons exported, marking a 39.4% decrease compared to the same period in the previous year. Despite the drop in volume, the monetary value of exports fell by 15.3% to $26.1 million. The primary markets for these exports included Latvia, Singapore, and the Netherlands, accounting for 28%, 23.5%, and 14.6% of the total exports, respectively. This period also saw a general rise in egg prices across Europe, including Ukraine, where the production of eggs fell by 20% in the first half of the year.
