Russia is making strides to allow its beef exporters to enter the Philippine market, with the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance currently leading the efforts. Despite a 10% import duty on beef, five Russian enterprises have shown interest in the opportunity. The entry of meat and meat products into the Philippines will be subject to testing and joint control by the Food and Drug Administration and the National Meat Inspection Service. The review will encompass various aspects such as international cooperation, trade regulations, intellectual property protection, and conditions for poultry meat supply from Russia.
