The article highlights a significant increase in the price of chicken eggs in Ukraine, with a 1.1% rise in October alone and a 32.4% increase compared to the same month the previous year. This surge in prices is primarily due to higher costs in feed and energy, leading to a decrease in egg production and a shift in the market dynamics. The largest egg producers in the country, Vanguard, Ovostar, and Inter-business, have seen changes in their market shares. Additionally, egg exports have seen a decline, with the United Arab Emirates, Latvia, and Israel being the main importers. The price fluctuation throughout the year is influenced by domestic consumption patterns and the volume of production, with the highest prices observed in winter and the lowest in summer.
