The National Agricultural Health Service (Senasa) established the mandatory phytosanitary requirements for the importation of sorghum seeds (Sorghum bicolor) from Brazil. The measure was made official through Ministerial Resolution No. D000047-2025-Midagri-Senasa-DSV, published on December 14 in the Legal Norms bulletin of the official journal El Peruano, where the following was indicated: - The seeds come from a production site inspected by the ONPF of the country of origin during the active growth period of the crop, and through laboratory analysis, found to be free of: Burkholderia andropogonis, Pseudomonas fuscovaginae, Pseudomonas syringae pv. syringae, and Peronosclerospora sorghi. (indicate diagnostic method). The shipment is free of: Bipolaris sorghicola, Colletotrichum sublineola, Gloeocercospora sorghi, Ramulispora sorghi (confirmed through laboratory analysis).
