REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- President Director of Bulog Ahmad Rizal Ramdhani conveyed a more aggressive rice absorption strategy for 2026 in line with the projection of increased national production. According to Rizal, this step is prepared to balance the larger harvest potential from the expansion of rice fields and the strengthening of the government's agricultural programs. He mentioned that the estimate of Bulog's rice procurement in 2026 will exceed the 2025 realization which reached 3 million tons. This increase in absorption follows the direction of the Minister of Agriculture and will be finalized through a Presidential Instruction targeted to be issued in 2026. “The procurement estimate will certainly be larger than in 2025.
