Brazilian rice exports in May this year totaled 103,300 tons, generating revenue of US$41.8 million, marking a 47.70% drop in volume and a 38.60% drop in revenue compared to the same month in 2023, according to the Brazilian Rice Industry Association (Abiarroz). The main destinations for Brazilian processed cereal included Senegal, Peru, and the US, while imports of rice increased by 11.40% in volume and 46.90% in value compared to the same month in 2023.
