Rice exports grows 1,108% in June and breaks record

Brazilian rice exports hit a record in June, totaling 316,175 tonnes (husk base), an increase of 1,108% over the same period last year, according to consultancy Cogo - Inteligência em Agronegócio, based on data from the Secretariat of Commerce Exterior (Secex). “This is also the largest monthly volume ever exported by the country, surpassing December 2018, when 287,104 tons were shipped”, he informs.
