Brazil: Rice exports in November total 139.9 thousand tons, says Abiarroz

Rice exports (husk base) totaled 139.9 thousand tons in November, equivalent to US$56.6 million, reports Abiarroz (Brazilian Rice Industry Association), based on data from the Ministry of Development, Industry, Commerce and Services (MDIC). Compared to the same month in 2022, when foreign sales totaled 147.5 thousand tons, there was a 5.2% decrease in exports. Revenue increased 4.4% in the same comparison (in November last year, revenue was US$54.2 million). From January to November, Brazil exported 1.7 million tons, with foreign exchange worth US$599.6 million. Compared to the same period in 2022, when foreign sales reached 1.8 million tons, representing US$567.8 million, there was a 6.5% drop in volume and a 5.6% increase in revenue.
