Commerce Minister Phumtham Wechayachai aims to increase rice and food product exports to the US by 1.75 billion baht, focusing on the western US where there is a large Thai and Asian community with high purchasing power. He plans to meet with major importers and conduct in-store promotions and sign a memorandum of understanding for Thai rice sales. Additionally, the ministry is looking to expand distribution channels for small and medium-sized Thai entrepreneurs who want to enter the US market.
