The article highlights the significant rise in prices for berries and fruits in Ukraine, with inflation reaching 21.5% in June 2022 and berries and fruits increasing in price by 22.4% compared to June 2021. The cost of cultivation and reduced availability due to the war have contributed to these increases. The prices of various berries have risen dramatically, with raspberries nearly tripling in price. Despite these higher prices, some berries have seen a decrease in cost. Watermelons and melons have also seen a surge in prices, with melons experiencing a 144% increase. Economists attribute this to the occupation of certain regions and the need for more expensive truck transportation through Bulgaria and Romania.
