In the first eight months of 2024, the Republic of Moldova saw a 125% increase in table grape exports to the European Union, totaling 13,248 tons. This surge is credited to the high quality of Moldovan grapes and the trust of the EU market. Key EU destinations include Romania, Poland, Hungary, Latvia, and Croatia. With over 65% of Moldova's exports and 81% of its foreign direct investment coming from the EU, this growth in grape exports is a positive indicator of Moldova's potential future as an EU member state.
