The Romanian beekeeping sector is in crisis due to extreme weather conditions and climate change, which have led to a significant loss in honey production. The sector also faces challenges from the presence of non-EU honey in the internal market, which has led to a drop in prices and affected the ability of Romanian beekeepers to sell their production. Young people are no longer interested in beekeeping due to its lack of profitability and the difficulties it presents. The sector is seeking financial support from authorities to address these challenges.
