Rondônia in Brazil and Ivory Coast strengthen ties for exchange in animal and fish resources

With the aim of promoting the exchange of good practices in animal and fish resources, focusing efforts on the development of Tambaqui fish, native to the Northern region of Brazil, the Government of Rondônia, in partnership with the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire, made official on Thursday (2), the 'Memorandum of Understanding' during a ceremony at the Ivory Coast Embassy in Brasília. Negotiations for the memorandum were conducted by the State Secretariat for Economic Development (Sedec), through Invest Rondônia, started in March 2023, and were driven by Rondônia Day Brasília, in March 2024, based at the embassy, strengthening ties between the Rondônia and Ivorian economies. In addition to exchanging good practices, the document provides for the promotion of commercial exchange through business missions and the sharing of strategic information for exporting and importing products.
