The Rosario Stock Exchange has lowered its estimate for Argentina's 2022/23 soybean production to 27 million tons, marking a loss of 7.5 million tons and the smallest harvest since the 2000/01 season. The drought and intense heat have also led to a record loss of soy cultivated area, which has increased by three times compared to last year. The most affected provinces are Entre Rios and Santa Fé, with Santa Fé expected to stop producing 5.8 million tons compared to the last harvest. The Buenos Aires Grain Exchange has also reduced its estimate for the 2022/23 soybean crop to 29 million tons, with 4% more crops in bad or very bad conditions.
