In 2022, Russia experienced a 7.5% increase in commercial aquaculture production, reaching 383.5 thousand tons. The Far Eastern Federal District, especially the Primorsky Territory, was a significant contributor, seeing a 17.5% rise in aquaculture production to 66.8 thousand tons. Products include seaside scallop, Pacific mussel, oysters, Far Eastern sea cucumber, and kelp. To facilitate the growing product turnover, the Primorsky Interregional Department of Rosselkhoznadzor and the Primorsky Territorial Department of the Federal Agency for Fishery organized a seminar for 27 business representatives to ensure correct and timely registration of aquaculture products. The territory now hosts 114 aquaculture enterprises with 329 fish farms occupying a total area of 80.2 thousand hectares.
